Supporting JK Rowling were some very familiar faces such as Emma Watson, Alan Rickman, Evanna Lynch and Warwick Davis. Guests enjoyed a visit to the Studio Tour, followed by a dinner and charity auction for adults in the Great Hall. Some of the items up for auction included an ink and pen drawing by JK Rowling of the Sorting Hat to a trip to Universal Japans' opening of their Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. Younger guests were entertained by magicians, entertainers and the animal actors from the Harry Potter films.
The charity - which is dedicated to help reunite children with their families into family-based care throughout the world including Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova - raised over £1 million. It also acts to reform the care system and help develop community-based and specialist services for future generations of disadvantaged children.
