OFFICIAL: Universal Orlando Plans Expansion for Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Universal Orlando Plans Expansion for Wizarding World of Harry Potter
What's long been speculated has now been confirmed: the expansion of Universal Orlando Resort is indeed apart of Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's opening date is planned for 2014.

The theme park has been in major construction for more than a year after demolishing classic attractions such as Jaws. Only speculation surrounded the new landscape; modern day London and Diagon Alley were coming to the amusement park. The concept art below for the new expansion now confirms those highly anticipated and exciting rumors!

Universal Studios has been working with the design team from Warner Bros. Studios for construction on the theme park expansion.

Confirmations were made that the Hogwarts Express will be transporting guests to Universal Studios to the Islands of Adventure attractions - the sister site of more Harry Potter attractions such as Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. No word yet on whether guests would be able to ride the attraction with either a one day ticket or two park pass ticket.

Also, Gringott's Bank will be a major roller coaster - possibly simulating the ride in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Shops and restaurants are also pictured so guests have a complete experience of shopping and dining in the wizarding world.
"I'm so pleased that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has proved so popular to date, and I'm sure that the attention to detail in creating the new Diagon Alley area will make this an even better experience. - JK Rowling
