New Castmates Added to Fantastic Beasts Sequel

Earlier this year the huge announcement of Jude Law taking over the role of Dumbledore shook the wizarding world up. Now as the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them sequel started production this summer, more news is coming to light with more freshly added castmates. Ready your wands for these new characters!

Nicholas Flamel, an alchemist known in the wizarding world for having discovered the Elixir of Life, will be making his first appearance in the Harry Potter films. Originally mentioned in the very first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he was an acquaintance of Albus Dumbledore with his reputation proceeding him between young Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley on their first adventure. He will be played by actor Brontis Jodorowsky.

Actor and comedian Jessica Williams, known for her work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Netflix's The Incredible Jessica James, has had an incredible year so far. Documented on twitter and social media for the past few years, Williams has had multiple meetings and run-ins with author J.K. Rowling. And, now she'll officially forever be apart of the Harry Potter universe in a yet-to-be-disclosed role.

Earlier this year, Jude Law was added to take over the younger version of Dumbledore, guaranteeing that the Hogwarts headmaster will face-off against Gellert Grindelwald played by Johnny Depp. Important figures from Newt's past will also be joining the crew: his brother Theseus played by Callum Turner and Zoe Kravitz will return as Leta Lestrange; she appeared in the first Fantastic Beasts movie in an old photograph.

Other castmates joining the ranks of the wizarding world include Wolf Roth as Spielman, Victoria Yeates (Call the Midwife) as Bunty, Derek Riddell as Torquil Travers, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Rosier, and Cornell S John as Arnold Guzman. The surnames ‘Travers’ and ‘Rosier’ might stand out for us Potterheads, as they belong to two Death Eaters who served Lord Voldemort.

The cast of the Fantastic Beasts is already shaping up. What do you think of the latest additions? With all of this talent, we can only expect for the next installment to truly take flight. More details to come about the sequel as they come in!
