If they can cut & reshoot Kevin Spacey out of an entire film then #FantasticBeasts has no excuse for keeping known abuser Johnny Depp.— Erynne Hundley (@Erynne_Hundley) November 16, 2017
hey guys, I noticed a small problem with the promotional photoshoot! Nothing drastic, but I fixed it anyhow. No charge :) pic.twitter.com/WnNnob4eK2— marcela (@celayoub) November 16, 2017
So many abuse victims have turned to Harry Potter as a source of comfort and healing. The Crimes of Grindelwald shows how little the creators of this franchise care about its fandom, and I'm over it. #FantasticBeasts— MONICA 🎄💕 (@monicakwatson) November 16, 2017
The Crimes of Grindelwald is a pretty ballsy title for a film failing to address the problematic assault charges of its biggest star...like...way to lean in?— Kerri Donnelly (@kdscripted) November 16, 2017

I love how everyone is saying that Johnny Depp was horrible in Fantastic Beasts but...he was literally in the movie all of 45 seconds....he slays EVERY role he has and yet that 45 seconds determines that he’s not fit for the role? Y’all need to chill out. #FantasticBeasts— kayla. (@_polaroid_dream) November 16, 2017
Johnny Depp as Grindelwald is stunning!!— アデル(pomta) (@pomta5426) November 16, 2017

Either way with the sexual abuse allegations with various directors, producers, and actors throughout Hollywood coming to light his year, scrutiny and validation of the victims' stories are becoming more important than ever. The deal with Depp to play Grindelwald has been a done deal, but we will and wait see if the tide turns enough for Warner Bros respond again to their casting decision.
Are you happy with Johnny Depp's casting as Grindelwald? Does his casting inhibit your excitement for the sequel?
