New Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle Dazzles at Universal Orlando

Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle at Universal Orlando
In late 2017, Universal Orlando cast a festive spell with The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts, bewitching wizards and witches alike with a spectacular combination of projection and music. For 2018 a new show Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle was introduced as a limited run engagement. I was finally able to see the spectacular show in person!

Displaying several times over select evenings, Hogwarts lights up with a celebration of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Witches and wizards gather around Hogwarts for the projection display, as The Sorting Hat welcomes everyone to celebrate their house pride.

Ravenclaw kicks off the show with a raven flying up the castle as Hogwarts dazzles in the houses' famous blue shield. Following suit, is Hufflepuff with a badger crawling around, Slytherin's gigantic green snake slithering up the towers, and Gryffindor roaring to life with a bold lion trouncing across the grounds. Overall, the show lasts approximately three to four minutes, and fans can see the show multiple times as it runs from dusk until the theme park closes. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous to see in person, and the mix of music and the Sorting Hat narration makes the display feel like a real sorting ceremony!

Here are some photos I took from my visit as well as a video. Which house would you be excited to celebrate at the Nighttime Lights Show?
