My Favorite Meals to Eat at Wizarding World of Harry Potter

My Favorite Meals to Eat at Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter brings the world we love from the books and movies to Universal Studios' theme parks. When we walk into the places we've always imagined visiting, there's plenty of experiences to enjoy from riding on a broomstick through Hogwarts to letting the wand choose us at Ollivander's Wand Shop.

J.K. Rowling's world is also rich with detail in what her characters eat and drink. Naturally, the theme parks aim to recreate drinks and treats inspired by the wizarding world. I thought I'd share my picks for what to eat and drink at Universal Orlando Resort's Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.

Here are my favorite dishes at The Leaky Cauldron, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, and The Three Broomsticks. What's your favorite meal at Wizarding World of Harry Potter? Let me know in the comments!

The Leaky Cauldron Menu Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Leaky Cauldron

When Harry Potter first enters the wizarding world, he crosses into Diagon Alley through The Leaky Cauldron with his friend Hagrid. Of course, you have to stop by the famous eatery where everyone knows his name in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The Leaky Cauldron has a wonderful array of meals that are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. When I stop by, my go-to pick is the Beef Lamb and Guinness Stew with a cold cup of Butterbeer. Typically, the beef lamb and Guinness stew fills a bread bowl. Because I have an egg allergy, I have to swap the bread bowl for a plastic one, but the stew is always warm and hearty. The meal also comes with a side salad, where you can request one of the dressings or vinaigrette the restaurant have to offer.

Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour Menu

Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour

Florean Fortescue's isn't one of the most renown characters in the Harry Potter saga, but his death is one that J.K. Rowling regrets the most from the series. Thankfully, his legacy of scrumptious ice cream and desserts lives on at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The popular eatery is a perfect spot for a cool treat during the hot and humid summer months as well as a great snack during the holidays. Florean Fortescue's offers amazing flavors to try from Clotted Cream to Earl Grey & Lavender. You can enjoy their desserts in a cone, bowl, or collectible dish. If you have any allergies regarding wheat, dairy, and egg, tell the servers when you begin to order, and they'll help you make the best decision  regarding what you can or cannot eat.

My favorite is Strawberry and Peanut Butter - it's an odd yet delicious combo. While I usually order a scoop or two in a cardboard bowl, I've also splurged to purchase the unique plastic dish. The extra collectible includes Florean's logo and is made from plastic sturdy enough to handle more adventures around the theme park.

The Three Broomsticks Menu Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Three Broomsticks

When you're off from Hogwarts and on a day trip to Hogsmeade, you have to stop by The Three Broomsticks. Similar to The Leaky Cauldron, Madam Rosmerta offers delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Three Broomsticks is also home to The Hog's Head, an adjoining themed bar which includes a menu of draft beers and non-alcoholic drinks.

I've mostly visited in the afternoon for a mid-lunch or late dinner, and the Chicken Platter is the first meal I go for. The dish includes a chicken leg or breast with roasted potatoes and corn on the cob. And, I usually top it off with a nice mug of Butterbeer or Pumpkin Juice.
